George Washington WEEK OF SERVICE

George
Washington Week is Lock and Chain’s largest event of the
year. We celebrate Washington’s Birthday by having events
that bring awareness to issues that the active class of Lock and Chain
deems to be important to the Washington University community at large.

George Washington Week started as Lock and Chain’s showcase event: a weeklong focus on community service and the Washington University community. In recent years, Lock and Chain has worked with more student groups on campus in order to involve the entire University, to turn this week of service into a weeklong celebration that still retains its old values and character. It is the goal of Lock and Chain to make George Washington Week as epic as possible by co-programming with multiple student groups, to make sure that every nook and cranny of campus and the student body is accessed.
While George Washington Week will always have the traditional events like the Horse and Buggy rides with George himself, and the day of service, each class of Lock and Chain brings a new theme and focus to the week. So in short, be prepared. George Washington Week is coming.
